Time running out for foodies to vote for their favourite Coventry restaurant

Thursday 28th of September 2023 03:50 PM

A restaurant within a 14th century heritage building is in the running for an award that celebrates Coventry’s favourite foodie destinations.
Tales of Tea, which is located in the oldest surviving part of St Mary’s Guildhall, has been nominated for the Taste of Coventry award in the Coventry & Warwickshire Foodie Awards – just a year after opening.
The restaurant, which offers classic brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and seasonal menus in a unique, atmospheric space, has become a popular destination with visitors and residents since opening after a £5.6 million renovation at the historic venue in Coventry’s cathedral quarter.
A public vote will help to decide the winner, with Tales of Tea up against stiff competition from the city’s food scene.
Voting closes on Friday 29 September at 12am. To cast your vote visit https://tinyurl.com/y5ef237s.
Abi Moore, Heritage and Venue Manager at St Mary’s Guildhall, which is operated by No Ordinary Hospitality, said: “We are thrilled to be nominated alongside some fantastic Coventry institutions who help to bring such variety to the city’s culinary landscape.
“Tales of Tea offers something truly unique to diners and is steeped in incredible Coventry history while championing local produce in a constantly evolving menu, so it’s great to be in the running for this award.”
Tales of Tea also offers festive private hire options for evening dining.
