Autumn and winter markets set to return to FarGo Village - alongside retro fun

Coventry’s Creative Quarter is warding off gloomy autumn skies with a selection of seasonal events and activities kicking off in October – including retro-inspired fun and signature, themed markets.

FarGo Village’s Retro Revival will take over the creative hub on Saturday October 15 and Sunday October 16, with FarGo resident Auntie Olive’s Attic set to host a Retro Revival Fashion Show.

The Retro Revival will also crown FarGo Village's Retro Revival Dapper Dresser, with visitors asked to showcase their unique sense of style in a bid to win the title.

Visitors can get into the spooky seasonal spirit with FarGo Village’s Halloween Makers Market on Saturday October 30 and Sunday October 31.

The weekend market includes activities from a Trick or Treat trail and a pumpkin carving competition to a host of spectacular stalls selling hand-felted pumpkins, sweets and jewellery.

As the nights turn colder, visitors can get into the festive season with three themed Christmas markets, held over November and December.

The hugely popular Winter Chocolate Market will return on Saturday November 19 and Sunday November 20, where guests can enjoy an array of tasty treats of brownies, truffles, cupcakes and more from artisan chocolate producers.

The Winter Vegan Festival will then take over on Saturday November 26 and Sunday November 27 from 11 am and will feature handcrafted animal and planet-friendly gifts to fill stockings, and the finest plant-based treats to enjoy on the day.

The two following weekends will be dedicated to the Village’s biggest ever Christmas market, which will be held on Saturday, December 3 from 11 am until 5 pm and Sunday, December 4 from 11am until 4 pm, and the same times on December 17 and 18.

Monta Norkuse at FarGo Village said: “Autumn and winter weekends and nights offer some of the most exciting events on the FarGo Village calendar and we can’t wait to welcome visitors to the return of our unique seasonal markets, as well as some retro fun suitable for all ages.

“As well as our main events, we’ll also be hosting our usual events championing independent creativity and family fun throughout the week, so it’s worth checking out our socials to ensure you don’t miss out.”
