The West Midlands Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Federation of Small Businesses will be hosting an event with businesses from across the West Midlands on the topic of fraud. The workshop will focus on fraud and its impact on the West Midlands business community.

The first keynote speaker to be announced is: Hinesh Mehta, Detective Inspector for the Regional Cyber Crime Unit
Hinesh has been a police officer for over 16 years and is currently the Detective Inspector for the Regional Cyber Crime Unit.  The majority of his service has been spent as a detective in various departments, including the murder investigation and started the countries first Digital Media Investigator Unit. He has specialised in exploiting technology to assist in the most serious of crimes including murder and kidnap.  He has been heavily involved with shaping the force response to cybercrime.  With a wealth of experience, he is currently trying to increase the skill set of the force and is working to prevent organisations from becoming victims of cybercrime.

This half day event is a must for business owners looking to protect their businesses from fraud. There will be a series of expert workshops which will be facilitated by experts in the following fields:

·        Fraud

·        Hacking

·        Seasonal fraud

·        There will also be a special workshop on modern slavery
