The 2021 RISING Global Peace Forum will take place in Coventry on 10th-12th November 2021. The theme this year is 'Leadership for Peace'.
Subject to any COVID restrictions, it will be a hybrid event with speakers gathering in Coventry to speak face-to-face with participants and the event will also be livestreamed online. It's free of charge, so no matter where you are in the world you will be able to take part!
The event includes the Lord Mayor's Peace Lecture on Thursday 11th November which starts at 7pm in Coventry Cathedral.
Details of speakers and the programme will be updated closer to the date, but speakers who have already confirmed include:
The Right Honourable Kim Campbell - Canada's first and only female Prime Minister,
The Most Reverend Justin Welby - Archbishop of Canterbury
Lord Peter Ricketts - former UK National Security Adviser and UK Permanent Representative to NATO
Neville and Christine Staples - founders of From The Specials Band, who will deliver the Lord Mayor's Peace Lecture
