One of Coventry’s historic hidden gems and its unique restaurant have joined a renowned hotel in the running for one of the country’s most popular lifestyle awards.

St Mary’s Guildhall and the Tales of Tea restaurant have been nominated for the eleventh annual Muddy Stilettos Awards as ‘Best Family Attraction’ and ‘Best Restaurant’ in Warwickshire and the West Midlands – with Coombe Abbey Hotel up for ‘Best Hotel/Inn’.

No Ordinary Hospitality, which operates all three venues, has urged the Coventry, Warwickshire and West Midlands public to show their support for their favourite attractions.

Votes can be cast on the Muddy Stilettos website at warks.muddystilettos.co.uk/awards, with 21 categories this year.

The nominations mean the Guildhall and Tales of Tea are in the running for a second consecutive year, having been nominated in 2023. Coombe Abbey Hotel claimed the regional title for Best Hotel in 2022.

Voting closes on Thursday, March 14. The top five businesses with the most nominations in each category will go through to the Regional Finals, which are decided by a public vote.

Each regional winner will stand a chance of winning the National Muddy Awards in their category in July.

The platform, which has almost four million readers, covers the top things to do, family days out and places to visit across 28 counties.

Jayne Pyatt, Marketing Manager at St Mary’s Guildhall, said: “These awards are a brilliant way to celebrate all the fantastic things to do and see in Coventry, Warwickshire and the wider region, and we are delighted to be nominated once again.”

Ron Terry, Group Operations Manager at No Ordinary Hospitality, said: “We hope anyone who has visited us at any of our venues over the last year will feel the same way we do about them, and we would love to be in with a chance of claiming a regional award in what is an increasingly competitive field.”
