Local companies have pledged their support to the region after joining a business group which aims to highlight the strengths of Coventry and Warwickshire.

Five companies have signed up to join Coventry and Warwickshire Champions, a leading business networking organisation which unites businesses and leaders from across the region to raise the profile of the area.

The new members include business advisers, an education provider, sales consultants and a consultancy firm, which are all bringing their expertise to the group.

Innate Coaching, Mobius Improvement, Positive Impact Group, Sales Growth Consulting and Strategic Capability have all pledged their support to the community, ahead of the next CW Champions Online event on Wednesday, June 24.

Les Ratcliffe, Chair of the Coventry and Warwickshire Place Board praised the commitment of these companies in helping to highlight the positive work of the business community.

He said: “Despite the difficult times we are currently facing globally, local businesses have come together to support their communities and to see so many companies pledging their support to be advocates for the region at this time is impressive.

“CW Champions was founded on four key themes which tell the story of the region, including event central, being a region in the heart of the UK, a centre of peace and reconciliation, connection, and innovation as the home to world renowned universities.

“Our Champions are business leaders that are passionate about Coventry and Warwickshire, who want to see new and existing businesses invest and grow in the region.

“Our speakers are experts in their field, providing insight into the key development themes for the area and at our next online event we are welcoming Margot James, Coventrian, new Executive Chair for WMG and former Member of Parliament and Minister of State for Digital and Creative Industries.

“Through joining the network and this pledge to become an ambassador for the region, our Champions, who are all decision makers, business leaders and key figures, can give something back to the area.

“Great things happen as a result of the connections made at our meetings, and we are looking forward to welcoming our new Champions to represent Coventry and Warwickshire.”

Nic Erskine, Executive Director for CW Place Board and Champions added: “We are continually expanding our numbers to include more business leaders from the area to help us represent Coventry and Warwickshire.

“Our Champions businesses show how Coventry and Warwickshire is a key region for businesses to thrive in, and we welcome any business leaders that would like to help advocate for the region to get involved.”
