Clive Reynolds set Strategic Capability Ltd (SCL) up in 2009 following more than 40 years’ experience in consultancy (WS Atkins – strategy development and operating systems), automotive (Leyland Vehicles – manufacturing management) and higher education for industry (WMG, University of Warwick – Director of Industrial Programmes). He has worked in the US, mainland Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia as well as the UK.
At Warwick he pioneered a succession of innovative learning & development programmes across many sectors, including automotive, aerospace, chemicals and electronics and completed his time there by heading up a major R&D project at the University into capability development for innovation and technology transfer. This resulted in a unique toolset for addressing barriers to innovation and technology transfer, through which employers have already enjoyed more than £40m of added value. It is now delivered under licence by SCL.
Examples of SCL’s recent work are SME management team coaching under GrowthAccelerator, ‘deep dive’ innovation workshops, and a major funded project concerning High Performance Working (HPW) for the premium automotive supply chain. This resulted in a further set of proven tools, for enhancing employee engagement and discretionary contribution.
SCL brings all this together as a resource hub for excellence in organisational and people development for business benefit. Elements can be delivered directly to employers ̶ assembling the most appropriate and effective frameworks, models and tools to meet specific business needs ̶ and involving leading associates as necessary. We are always demand-led and outcome-driven, with tangible, measured improvement delivered through tailored learning, facilitation and coaching interventions.
