Jaguar Land Rover is the largest manufacturer of premium vehicles in the UK and is at the centre of the UK automotive industry’s drive to deliver technical innovation across the autonomous, shared, electrified and collaboration space. Jaguar Land Rover aims to create value beyond their boundaries, making Jaguar Land Rover an organisation you want to do business with, today, tomorrow and in the future. Jaguar Land Rover supports thousands of people across the supply chain, dealer network and the wider economy.
The company operates two state of the art engineering and design facilities, in Whitey and in Gaydon, and four advanced manufacturing plants in the West Midlands and in Merseyside including the advanced engine manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton. In addition, the company announced further investment in electrification with Electric Drive Units to be produced at its UK Engine Manufacturing Centre, and a new Battery Assembly Centre to be established in the UK. Jaguar Land Rover also opened its new manufacturing facility in Slovakia at the end of October 2018, where production of the Land Rover Discovery has now begun.
Jaguar Land Rover has also partnered with other local actors, including the Warwick University, the Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG). The creation of the new collaborative space, the National Automotive Innovation Centre (NAIC) at the University of Warwick campus is a shared space between Jaguar Land Rover, Tata Motors and the WMG, with the aim of encouraging more collaborations in the research and innovation space. Jaguar Land Rover’s Global Headquarters, Research and Design Centres are based in Coventry and Warwickshire.
Nicholas Spencer, Director of Non-Production Purchasing, Property and Trading Division at Jaguar Land Rover, commented: “Jaguar Land Rover has a global footprint, however, the heart of our business remains in the Midlands. We continue to invest in our local community and value our local interactions, within Coventry and Warwickshire. We take our commitment to the community seriously and encourage local businesses to engage with the public and voluntary sectors. The role of Coventry and Warwickshire as a partner, supporter and business location has helped Jaguar Land Rover immensely, and we therefore have the responsibility to have a positive impact on the local community, making it a place where people will want to visit, work and live.”
