Over 150 business and organisation leaders from across Coventry & Warwickshire gathered at Coventry University TechnoCentre for the Coventry & Warwickshire Champions meeting.

These events are about informing you of what is going on in Coventry & Warwickshire and how we can raise the profile of our region.

Thank you to all those who attended, and a special thank you to our speakers:

Frank Mills, Executive Chairman & Managing Director of Coventry University Enterprises Ltd, who welcomed us to the TechnoCentre and gave a background to CUE. Frank explained how much the Technology Park has developed and grown, and about the two latest development projects.

Jane King, Chief Executive of the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, who praised the Coventry & Warwickshire region as a great place for their HQ. Jane spoke about AHDB’s strategic priorities, and in particular how important it is to inspire farmers in this rapidly changing world.

Nigel Shanahan, Founder and Chairman of Rant & Rave, explained how an idea which came to him in a motorway service station grew into a company half of the FTSE rely on. Nigel spoke about the key vision of engaging customers on an emotional level, and their belief that the way consumers feel drives future behaviour.

Alister de Ternant, Managing Director of Associate Events, announced the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival which will be taking place on the 20th November to 1st December 2017. Alister spoke about the region’s growth, and urged local businesses to get involved in the festival.

We’d also like to thank EnV Coventry and the Coventry Ambassadors for helping us throughout the morning, and for directing guests into the venue.

And finally, thank you to Coventry Conferences for hosting the meeting at the TechnoCentre and for providing a delicious hot breakfast in a great setting.

I really hope all who attended found the meeting informative and inspiring and if you aren’t already a Champion and are interested in becoming part of our invaluable network please get in touch.
